About: A collection of thoughts ... from a boy in Toronto.

Sometimes it is really tricky to try to accomodate/work with peoples’ personal communication norms.  Some people are cool with the facebook thing.  Some people are far more reliable if you e-mail them.  Some people are more reliable if you text them.  From some people, you can expect a response almost immediately.  And from others, it take them a bit longer.  And others you can not count on them to get back to you, which is especially unfortunate and irritating when you need help.  Kind of a “I really needed you, and you didn’t come through.  When you needed me I came through [or would have if there was a situation]” type of sentiment.  I’m not sure if a lack of response is a matter of absent mindedness, or a lack of organization/’responsibility,’ or if getting back to their friends in need is low priority on their busy schedule, or if they’re just a jerk (or a combination of some of these).

I always thought it was just a matter of being decent to others; to get back to them (even if occasionally it gets postponed).  Sometimes other peoples’ actions make me uncertain of what’s reasonable…
