About: A collection of thoughts ... from a boy in Toronto.

Why we need to be actively involved in alternative structures and forms of organization.  This means grand alternatives to capitalism (such as participatory economics, market socialism, or resource based economies).  But going smaller, working within the “social economy” (co-operatives, collectives, or innovatively organized non-profits).  And going on an even smaller level, it means how we organize within small groups, whether that refers to schooling (or unschooling), how our clubs/organizations or group living arrangements are organized, or how meetings are facilitated.  Organizing ourselves in the way that we feel society ought to be organized is in itself revolutionary.

‎”The world we live in, or rather, what world we live in, depends entirely upon our investments: we go on living in this world of sales, wages, rent, and cages because every day, people wake up and - seeing no other viable option - invest their energy and ingenuity in surviving within its structures, thus perpetuating them.”
